Video consultations do not need to be second best. They are beneficial and valuable. We can still see your whole feed, how your baby latches on and how your baby sucks. We can see this all up close. We encourage you to video record your baby feeding and send this to us before or after a consultation. This is so that we can watch your feeds and work together to understand more about how your baby is feeding. The virtual consultation is just part of the story.

We can support you at any stage of your breastfeeding journey, before your baby arrives or once they’ve been born.

We will offer you a consultation at a time to suit you 7 days a week.

We cover the whole of the UK virtually.

The technicalities of a video consultation

We will set up a secure video connection and send you a zoom video link.

You will need a laptop, phone or tablet with a camera.

On this device you will need to be able to access zoom but you don’t need a zoom account.

It’s helpful if the video call takes place where you regularly feed your baby as then the support we give you can be tailored to your normal feeding position

Set up the device in a position which means you won’t need to hold it but we will be able to easily see you and your baby. Please consider the lighting in the room, if possible try not to have a window behind you.

It helps if you have a camera that can be moved by another person so that we can see different views of your feed but it’s not essential.
